My mom is looking for a good water filtration system, and I thought I would ask. Their water tastes like chlorine, and she wants to remove the taste. A softener. Filters do not change the chemical properties of water, just take out the larger chunks. Hard water causes you to use more laundry detergent and also makes getting lather from bath soap and shampoo harder.
