It removes odor, color, bad taste from metals, organics, chlorine, sand and dirt.

Activated carbon removes odor, color and taste. Carbon typically lasts 6-8 months based on usage before needing changed.

Reverse Osmosis removes everything from the water including parasites and disease.

Culligan makes an excellent filter. Dupont and GE also make good filters.

Yes, I have one, and I use the water from it for everything. It tastes really good. I bought it from Walmart, but I can't remember what brand it is.

My family and I have a water filter system. And I personally think that the water filter does make our water taste a lot better. But I am not sure how much ours cost but if I were you I would buy one.

I have a filter in the supply line between my well and water softener. It filters sediment for the entire house, except for one outside spigot used to water the lawn, etc. I don't really taste any difference in the water, but the filter cartridge I have in it now is only designed to trap sediment, not other contaminants.

the city of LA has some of the most disgusting water in the country… a filter system on the tap doesn’t work around here.

I go to the next county, not city, to buy 5 gallon jugs of water for my tower thing.
