Where can I find information about a home water filter system(drinking water)? I don’t think I plan on making every faucet in my house filtered unless it’s cheaper to just do it all. Where do I start? How hard is it to change the filters when it’s time to change them? What’s the best company? etc. ,
Thanks

You ask a lot of good questions. The changing the filter difficulty will depend on the system that you choose–and there are quite a few to choose from, as you probably already know.

My family has been using Berkey water filters since 2006 and we can’t live without them. We absolutely love them.

We use it for all drinking and cooking. It is so easy to change the filters.

No other filtration system can duplicate it’s performance. They are portable as well. You can take them on trips, camping or anywhere.

The Berkey water filter removes 100% of all pathogens, trihalomethanes, radiologicals and inorganic minerals.

We’ve searched and searched and we can’t find a better water filter system.

That’s who we think is the best.

There is a wide selection of different water filtration systems, and faucet mount system may or may not be the best system for your drinking water. The type of system you choose should be based on what are you trying to filter out of your drinking water, where the water is being supplied from (i.e. from a municipal water supply, or well water) and are you just wanting to filter and treat drinking water?

Speaking directly to your questions asked, I have tried to provide you some information and links below.
1.Information about different filter systems: http://www.freshwatersystems.com/c-136-systems.aspx

    2. Changing Filters: To change a filter in most faucet mount systems is very easy and only takes about 1-2 minutes. It is generally recommended as with refrigerator water filters you change them every six months. An easy way to remember this is “Change your Clock, Change your Water Filter” http://www.freshwatersystems.com/t-RefrigeratorWaterFilterReplacement.aspx

    3. It really is not possible to answer “what is the best company”. That is really depends on what you are trying to filter from your drinking water.
