What is the best whole house water filter solution to get as-close-to-distilled water as possible?

Posted by admin

I’m looking for a water filtration solution that works as well as water distilliation — a single unit or multiple units that remove *EVERYTHING* from the water.

I have inquired Polar Bear distillers about whether their systems could be used on a whole house and they told me that they could not — is this true? Couldn’t multiple distillers, or distillers linked to larger storage tanks be used together?

What are some of the products out there and how can these products be installed and/or linked together? Can you use a softener, a Reverse-Osmosis and a UV filter all at once, for instance? Are there systems that do all of this without having to "chain" them together?

Please do not let cost considerations inhibit replies — I would like to know about systems in all price ranges. Thank you!

I put in a Rayne system to do just this. It can be used with a Reverse Osmosis and UV filter at the same time. They are expensive units, but mine came with a lifetime warranty. Glad it did, too, because my pressure regulator blew the tank and even though it was caused by something outside of the unit, they replaced it for free.

What is the very best way to go with well water and Reverse Osmosis and/ or a whole house filter system ?

Most of the water systems are quite costly, especially if you want whole house filtration. I elected to use a water softener to deal with the hard water from the well and a separate water purification system for drinking/cooking water. The one I use in the kitchen filters out the "junk" and kills bacteria to result in 99% pure water.

Contact me for more details at scorp5543@yahoo.com on the water purification system if that appeals to you.

what is the best and most inexpensive filtering system for chlorinated water in my apartment?

I was going to use Brita but I don’t see chlorine listed in what it filters out.

You can’t have the best, and yet have it be inexpensive. I’ve heard that reverse-osmosis water filters remove everything from the water. However, I’ve also heard that the most basic models cost at least $300 per sink/outlet. Maybe you should just start buying bottled water, thats what my family does, it does cost more, over time. However, it is easier to pay. I also suggest looking online, for chlorine filtering water filters. Our water problems aren’t with chlorine, so I haven’t looked into this yet.
Good Luck , and BTW, Brita is just a scam, all it has is a tiny filter to trap microorganisms, and reduce led, by adding MORE CHEMICALS. If you live in an apartment, odds are you don’t have microorganisms in your water to begin with , thats what the chlorine kills. So, don’t use Brita.

Best Water Filter?

Hello,
I want to have a water filteration system. We are only 2 people. Our tap water tastes very bad. Which brand should i go with and from where i can get that at good price. I don’t want to spend more than $175.
Thanks for taking some of your precious time to help me with my question.

We have a Brita filter that goes right on our tap and only cost about $35. You have to replace it every few months. It makes the water taste fantastic. My SIL in the same town uses the pitcher, which does a fantastic job.

Home Water filter that doesn’t leave the water dead and flat.?

I’m concerned by the amount of oil burned to truck and fly bottled water around the world so I would rather just drink tap water. What is the best installed water filter system that doesn’t leave the water with out minerals?

You do not need a water filter unless there are demonstrated, proven and frequent cases of disease communicated by your local water supply. For virtually everyone in North America, Australia, Japan, Russia, New Zealand, Europe and South Africa water filters are a glorious waste of money and resources. The sales are supported by a lot of advertising that implies health risks but does not actually say there are any. In short, they almost, but not quite, lie.

In fact domestic and office size water filters are dangerous to health because if the filter elements are not serviced or changed regularly they can change the odd bacterium that does get through the municipal system into a big colony right at your water tap.

No water filter that you can install at your home or in your office can remove metals in solution permanently. The most they can do is remove some of them until the activated carbon, if used, saturates and the metals go through anyway.

No municipal water supply in the countries I have just mentioned have dangerous levels of heavy metals unless you have a situation as set out in that Erin Brokovitch movie. In that case only reverse osmosis or distillation would be any good and that would cost a lot more than a filter. Like five or ten times more.

Don’t waste your money.

Edit -I stand (or sit) corrected on the metals issue, but I did say "unless you have a situation as set out in that Erin Brokovitch movie." However I still stand behind my main statements, these thing are promoted by what amount to lies and their capacity to absorb metals is limited.

What is the best solution for office drinking water?

What is the best way to get filtered water for an office? We are sick of getting those large water jugs. We have an old building and 2 coolers. We were looking into filter systems for a small office (20) people. Any Suggestions/ We looked at Ampac water system

A plumber can attach a house style water filter right to the water line leading into the water fountain. The whole filter set up costs about 30-40 dollars at sears. The plumber can hook it up and just about anyone can change the filters. We did this at my last job and it worked great.

What is the best type of water filtration system for home use?

The best quality system that filters out practically everything there might be in water that is hazardous or unwanted. Price is not a big issue here.

I use and recommend BestWater systems. You have multiple choices – Perfect Pitcher, Reverse Osmosis System II, or MTS 2000 System (rated excellent – Consumer Reports 1997).

If you are interested in the website to find out more about the systems, feel free to contact me.

What is the best water purifying system that is reasonably priced?

We have a refrigerator with a filter system but it just quit working. I would like to install one on my kitchen sink. What would you recommend?

if cost was NOT a factor, I would have recommended an Ultra-Violet light system.

So with cost factor, I would recommend the Brita System.
